The real reason Andrea coaches
Andrea Mason Waterhouse isn't a coach who stumbled into midlife coaching from the outside. She found her way here by living it — all of it. The juggling act of a demanding career alongside raising children. The invisible labour of keeping a home running. The particular loneliness of going through the menopause while the rest of the world carried on as if nothing was happening.
"There's a version of the midlife transition that nobody talks about honestly," she says. "You've done everything you were supposed to do. You have a career, a family, a home. And somewhere in the middle of all of it, you've lost the thread back to yourself. That's not a failure. That's not weakness. But it does need addressing — and it can be addressed."
Returning to the coaching arena
Andrea was already an experienced life and business coach when she made the decision to step back, focus on her family, and live the life she had been helping others navigate. Now she returns to coaching with something that no qualification can provide: the perspective that only comes from having genuinely been through it.
Alongside her Noble Manhattan coaching renewal — placing her among an elite tier of internationally recognised coaches — Andrea has qualified as a certified menopause coach. It reflects a conviction that midlife transformation can't be approached piecemeal. Hormones affect mood. Mood affects identity. Identity shapes every decision. You have to address all of it.
The approach that makes it different
Andrea works across the whole person — mind, body and spirit. Not as abstract concepts, but as the lived dimensions of a real woman's life. Her coaching combines evidence-informed menopause guidance, practical strategies for reframing how you think about this stage of life, and deeper work on identity, purpose and meaning.
What makes it work isn't just the methodology. It's the fact that Andrea has sat in the same chair her clients sit in. She knows what it actually feels like — and that changes the conversation entirely.

How Andrea works
Honest
No platitudes, no toxic positivity. Just truthful, compassionate conversation about where you are and what's possible.
Whole-person
Mind, body and spirit aren't separate departments. Andrea addresses all three because that's how real change happens.
Experienced
Grounded in evidence — certified, trained, practiced — and in something qualifications can't give you: having lived it.
Action-oriented
Insight matters, but insight without action is just expensive navel-gazing. Sessions end with something real to take away.
